Warmoesstraat in Amsterdam

You're standing in the Warmoesstraat, one of the oldest streets in Amsterdam. It's narrow, about five hundred and fifty metres long, and runs from Dam Square towards Central Station, parallel to the Damrak. The street sits on an old dyke along the former mouth of the river Amstel. The houses on the Damrak side still have their back walls standing in the water.
