Leidseplein in Amsterdam

You're standing on Leidseplein, one of the best-known nightlife squares in Amsterdam. Terraces, theatres and cafés everywhere you look. On the square stands the Stadsschouwburg, the city theatre. A little further on is the American Hotel, with its Café Américain. In front of the hotel there's a fountain, and opposite it is the Hirsch building, with its eye-catching little tower.
