You're standing in the Spaarndammerbuurt neighbourhood, at Het Schip, which means The Ship. It's a housing block, but what a housing block. Architect Michel de Klerk designed it in 1919, in the style known as the Amsterdam School. Feel free to walk around it and take in the shapes and the details in the brickwork. Can you see why it's called The Ship?
