Hortus Botanicus in Amsterdam

You're standing at the Hortus Botanicus on the Plantage Middenlaan. Behind this gate lies one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. The entrance gate itself is a national monument, and so are quite a few of the buildings inside. Take a look at the building next door too: the former Hugo de Vries Laboratory, designed by Jo van der Mey in the Amsterdam School style.
