You're standing on the Plantage Middenlaan, at the National Holocaust Museum, the first official museum about the Holocaust in the Netherlands. Look at the building. The older part was once a school, a teacher training college. Another part has a new façade of pale bricks, laid in what's known as a Brazilian bond.
