You're standing at the Temple of Apollo Sosianus, right next to the Theatre of Marcellus. Look at those three marble columns on their tall stone base. They have Corinthian capitals, and on top sits a piece of the original beam and frieze. Take a closer look at that frieze. You'll spot ox skulls and candelabra, with garlands of laurel hanging between them. Laurel was Apollo's sacred plant.
