You're standing at the Arch of Septimius Severus, at the north-west end of the Roman Forum in Rome. It's about 23 metres high and 25 metres wide, with a large central archway and a smaller one on each side. It was dedicated in 203 to the emperor Septimius Severus and his sons Caracalla and Geta, to celebrate their victories over the Parthians.
