Tempio della Pace in Rome

You're standing by the remains of the Temple of Peace, the Templum Pacis, one of the imperial fora of ancient Rome. Not much of it is left. Most of it lies under the broad Via dei Fori Imperiali, the road Mussolini cut straight through this neighbourhood in the 1920s. Since the 2000s, part of the complex on the forum side has been excavated, and a few columns have been stood up again. Those are what you can see.
