You're standing in Piazza della Minerva, just around the corner from the Pantheon. In front of you is a little marble elephant with an Egyptian obelisk on its back. It was designed by Bernini. The obelisk was found in the garden of the monastery next door. Romans call the statue the Pulcino, the little chick.
