You're standing at the Colosseum, the largest amphitheatre the Romans ever built. Start with the outer wall. You'll see three tiers of arches stacked on top of each other, with half-columns in between. The lowest columns are plain, the middle ones a little more elegant, and the top ones the most ornate. Above some of the arches you can still spot Roman numerals. Those were entrance numbers, so every spectator could find the right gate.
