Museum Collectie Six in Amsterdam

You're standing on the Amstel, at number 218. Behind this front lives the Six family, and here too is the Six Collection: centuries of family heritage, with portraits, a family archive, art and antiques. The eldest son of the eldest son has lived here since the family moved from the Herengracht in 1915. Their old house there was pulled down when the Vijzelstraat was widened. The wooden wall panelling simply came along.
