You're standing at the Topography of Terror in Berlin. Start by looking at the street. This is Niederkirchnerstrasse, once called Prinz-Albrecht-Strasse. Under the Nazis, it was one of the most feared addresses in Europe. The Gestapo headquarters were here, along with the SS leadership and Reinhard Heydrich's security service. The Gestapo moved into a former school of arts and crafts, the SS into a hotel next door.
