You're standing on the Kerkplein in Broek in Waterland, right by the bridge and just west of the church. Take a look at that lamppost. It may look modest, but it has been here since the eighteenth century. The post is made of bluestone, and the lantern on top is copper. Since 1968 it has even been a national monument.
