You're standing at Saint Agnes Outside the Walls, on the Via Nomentana in Rome. The name says it all: this basilica lies outside the Aurelian Wall, the old city wall. Yet this is a very special spot. According to tradition, Saint Agnes was buried here, and her relics are still kept in this church.
