You're standing by the Bonnefanten in Maastricht, on the river Maas in the Céramique district. Look at that striking tower by the water. It's 28 metres tall, clad in zinc, and shaped like a rocket. The building was designed by the Italian architect Aldo Rossi and opened in 1995. Despite the rocket, the rest looks rather classical, with red brick and natural stone. Seen from above, the museum has the shape of a capital letter E.
