You're standing at Huis Eyll in the Heer district of Maastricht. It looks like a small castle, but it's really a country house: a two-storey manor. It used to be called the Croonenhof. Look at the front. The central section steps slightly forward and is crowned by a pediment. That façade dates from 1771. The doors and windows have stone frames with a gentle arch above them. Notice the iron gate between the stone pillars, too. It goes back to the first half of the eighteenth century.
