You're standing at Geulle Castle, right in the middle of the village of Geulle, near Meerssen. What you see is really only part of a castle. The white-plastered, L-shaped building was the outer castle, the forecourt buildings. The main castle, a seventeenth-century Renaissance building, was torn down in 1847. The little stream running past is the Oude Broekgraaf.
