Kasteel Neubourg in Gulpen-Wittem

You're standing at Kasteel Neubourg, in the valley of the little river Gulp, just west of Gulpen. You can already see it from the provincial road between Maastricht and Aachen, nestled among woods, orchards and meadows. Look at the avenue of lime trees and the bridge over the moat. They lead to a big gateway flanked by two slender towers. See the towers with their stacked onion-shaped spires? Those are Baroque, from the eighteenth century.
