You're standing outside Museum de Schat van Simpelveld, which translates as the Treasure of Simpelveld, in the far south of Limburg. Have a look at the building. This large Gothic Revival convent used to be called Huize Loreto. From 1875 to 2012 it was home to the Sisters of the Poor Child Jesus. When they left, the building needed a new purpose. It became a museum about what the sisters left behind, both their belongings and their way of life. It opened on 1 June 2018.
