Castle Withuishof in Maastricht

You're standing at the Withuishof, on the edge of Scharn in the east of Maastricht. Look at the white country house with its elegant tower. The buildings are grouped around a courtyard and made of brick, with bluestone window frames and corner blocks of local marl. The walls are whitewashed, which may well be where the house gets its name: the white house farm.
