Archaeological site Ponte Neroniano in Rome

You're standing at the Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II, the bridge across the Tiber towards the Vatican. But this story is about a bridge you can barely see anymore. Just downstream from here stood the Pons Neronianus, the Bridge of Nero. It crossed the river at a slightly different angle from today's bridge. Walk over to the edge and take a look down into the water.
