You're standing at the Arch of Janus, in the Velabrum. That's the low valley between the Capitoline and Palatine hills. Take a good look at its shape. Most triumphal arches have two faces, but this one has four identical sides. An arch like that is called a quadrifrons, and this is the only one left standing in Rome. It's about sixteen meters high and twelve meters wide.
