You're standing on Via della Lungara, in Rome's Trastevere district, in front of Palazzo Corsini. It's a late-Baroque palace, and right next door is the Villa Farnesina. What you see was built between 1730 and 1740, to designs by the architect Ferdinando Fuga. But he didn't start from scratch. A fifteenth-century villa of the Riario family already stood here, and Fuga reworked it into a proper palace.
