You're standing at Slot Zeist, a seventeenth-century palace built as a pleasure retreat, a country house for leisure and entertaining. It was commissioned by Willem Adriaan van Nassau, a grandson of Maurice of Orange. He bought the estate in 1677 and had this palace built, which took until 1686.
