You're standing at the Pyramid of Austerlitz, one of the strangest monuments in the Netherlands. A pyramid, right on top of the Utrecht Hill Ridge. Take a look: a grass-covered mound of sand, forty by forty metres, with a stone needle on top. Together they're thirty-three metres tall. And no, you're not in the village of Austerlitz. That belongs to Zeist. The pyramid itself sits just next door, in the municipality of Woudenberg.
