Zigeunermonument - Hel en Vuur in Amsterdam

You're standing on Museumplein in Amsterdam, by the Gypsy Memorial, also called Hell and Fire. The name reflects the language of its time; today we say Roma and Sinti. Look at the bronze group on the brick plinth. A man, a woman and two children are running away. Behind them, a fire flares up. The whole piece is three and a half metres tall.
