You're standing at the Theatre of Dionysus, on the south slope of the Acropolis in Athens. It's considered the oldest theatre in Europe, the place where Greek drama was born. Look at the half circle of stone seating climbing the hillside, and at the round floor below it. That's the orchestra, where the chorus stood and sang.
