You're standing at the Museum of Cycladic Art, right in the centre of Athens. The museum is actually made up of two buildings. The main one is fairly young: it went up in 1985, designed by the Greek architect Ioannis Vikelas. Then there's a much older-looking building, the neoclassical Stathatos Mansion on the corner of Vassilissis Sofias Avenue and Herodotou Street. Have a look around and see if you can spot both. That mix of modern and classical sums up this place nicely: ancient and contemporary art living side by side.
