You're standing at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, at the foot of the Acropolis in Athens. Look at the tall stone front wall. Originally that wall rose three storeys, and there were statues in the niches. The theatre was built so neatly against the much older Stoa of Eumenes that the two look as if they were designed together. That colonnade is around 350 years older.
