You're standing at the National Archaeological Museum of Athens, on Patission Street, right next to the old building of the National Technical University. Take a look at the façade. The museum was built in neoclassical style, a fitting frame for the ancient Greek art inside. The first design was by Ludwig Lange, later reworked by others including Ernst Ziller. In front of the entrance lies a large garden dotted with sculptures.
