You're standing at the Temple of Olympian Zeus, which is also known as the Olympieion. Look at those huge columns. Each one is about seventeen metres tall and made of Pentelic marble, topped with Corinthian capitals full of carved leaves. Once there were a hundred and four of them, set in double and triple rows. That made this the largest temple in Greece.
