You're standing on Vassilissis Sofias Avenue, one of the big boulevards of Athens. Here, at number 22, is the Byzantine and Christian Museum. Take a look at the building itself. It's a villa from 1848, designed by the architect Stamatios Kleanthis. It was built for a rather remarkable resident, the Duchesse de Plaisance. That's why it's also known as the Ilissia Villa.
