Ruins Metroon in Municipality of Athens

You're standing on the west side of the Agora of Athens, the old marketplace and heart of the ancient city. Take a good look at the ground. See those few reddish-brown stones stacked on top of each other, and a small stretch of steps? That's all that's left of the Metroon. Yet this was once one of the most important buildings in town.
