Fort Spion in Wijdemeren

You're standing at Fort Spion, near Loosdrecht. It may look harmless, but this is a piece of the New Dutch Waterline. That defence line worked with water: in times of danger the land was flooded. Only a few narrow passages stayed dry. This fort sits right on one of them, to close off the Bloklaan, the road from Loosdrecht to Loenen.
