Fort Werk IV in Gooise Meren

You're standing at Fort Werk IV in Bussum, also called the Main Work, right by the Spant! theatre. Look at those tall earth ramparts. You're on the highest point of the old Bussum fields. From the top, eighteen and a half metres above sea level, soldiers could see far across the land. That's exactly why the fort is here.
