Story · Oorlogsmonument 'Leger en Vloot'

You're standing on the Boulevard in Scheveningen, close to the Kurhaus. This is the Army and Navy Monument. It honours the Dutch soldiers and sailors who were mobilised during the First World War, and those who died in that time. The Netherlands stayed out of the fighting, but its forces stood ready for four years.
