You're standing in Scheveningen, just off the boulevard. And you might not even see the museum. That's on purpose. Beelden aan Zee, which means Sculptures by the Sea, is built entirely underground, inside the dune. The city of The Hague insisted it shouldn't be visible from the beach or the boulevard. To pull that off, the dune was raised quite a bit, much to the annoyance of the neighbours further inland, who lost their sea view.
