You're standing at the Fotomuseum Den Haag, the Hague Museum of Photography. It sits in a wing right next to the Kunstmuseum Den Haag, and that's no coincidence. Take a look at the building. This exhibition wing dates from 1961 and 1962, designed by the architects Sjoerd Schamhart and J.F. Heijligers. It was built as an extension of what was then called the Haags Gemeentemuseum. That's why it's known as the Schamhart Wing.
