Story · Battistero Lateranense

You're standing at the Lateran Baptistery, the baptismal chapel next to the Archbasilica of Saint John Lateran. It looks like a modest brick building, but this is the oldest baptistery in the Western world. For generations it was the only one in the whole of Rome.
