Southbank Centre in Lambeth

You're standing at the Southbank Centre, on the south bank of the Thames, between Hungerford Bridge and Waterloo Bridge. Take a look around. Grey concrete, chunky blocks, sharp angles. This is Brutalism, a style people still love to argue about. Some find it ugly, others think it's gorgeous. Either way, since 2026 the whole complex has been a listed building, walkways and open spaces included.
