Castle Marlborough House in Westminster

You're standing at Marlborough House, on The Mall in London, right next to St James's Palace. This grand mansion is now the headquarters of the Commonwealth. Take a look at the brick front with its stone corner blocks. Those bricks have a story. The Duke of Marlborough bought them cheaply in Holland while he was on campaign. They sailed back to England as ballast in empty troop ships.
