You're standing on the south bank of the Thames, in Southwark, at Shakespeare's Globe. With its timber beams and thatched roof, this round building looks like it stepped straight out of the sixteenth century. Yet it was only finished in 1997. It's a reconstruction of the theatre William Shakespeare wrote his plays for.
