You're standing at Big Ben, at the north end of the Palace of Westminster, home of the British Parliament. Strictly speaking, Big Ben is the nickname of the great bell inside, but almost everyone uses it for the whole tower. The tower was simply called the Clock Tower, until it was renamed Elizabeth Tower in 2012 for Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee.
