You're standing among the burial mounds of the Vijlenerbos, a forest between Vijlen and Vaals in the far south of Limburg. Walk out of the woods and you're soon in Raren. Look around at the low, round humps between the trees. They aren't ordinary bumps in the ground. They're graves from the Bronze Age, probably three to five thousand years old.
