Royal Square in Barcelona

You're standing on the Plaça Reial, the Royal Square, just off La Rambla in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, the Barri Gòtic. Start by looking around at the façades. They're yellow and white, and they all match. That wasn't always the case. Originally only a few buildings had those colours. Since the nineties, more and more façades have been brought into line, giving the square the uniform look it has today.
