You're standing at the Arc de Triomf in Barcelona, a triumphal arch in red brick. Look up: it's thirty metres tall. The style is called Neo-Mudéjar. Architect Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas designed it as the main gateway to the 1888 World Fair, the first world's fair ever held in the city. It was inaugurated on 20 May 1888. Visitors walked through it and down the wide promenade to Ciutadella Park, where the fair took place.
