You're standing at the Albertina, in the centre of Vienna, right next to the Hofburg. The museum sits on top of the Augustinian Bastion, one of the last surviving pieces of the old city walls. Look at the roof over the entrance: a long, floating blade. It was designed by architect Hans Hollein, and not everyone loved it. You go in by escalator, and to make room for it, a few statues from a fountain had to move.
