You're standing on the Graben, in the heart of Vienna's old town, next to one of the city's best-known works of art: the Plague Column. Take a good look. This isn't a neat, straight pillar. It's a tall tower of clouds, angels and figures that seems to swirl upwards. Right at the top sits the Holy Trinity.
