You're standing in front of the Austrian Parliament Building, right on Vienna's Ringstraße. Does it remind you of a Greek temple? That's exactly the idea. Architect Theophil Hansen had been working in Athens and drew on his designs for the Zappeion there. Ancient Greece was seen as the cradle of democracy, so a Greek look felt right for a parliament. Building began in 1874, and the deputies held their first session here at the end of 1883.
