You're standing in the MuseumsQuartier in Vienna, close to the city centre. Look for the sleek white block. That's the Leopold Museum. The building is almost a cube: forty by forty-six metres, and twenty-four metres tall. The architects, Ortner & Ortner, clad the whole thing in white shell limestone. Now check out the stairs up to the entrance. They're ten metres wide and stand free in front of the building, as if they're inviting you up.
